A showcase fashion event held in City Hall, Dame St, Dublin to launch the Marks & Spencer Spring/Summer 2012 collection in Ireland.

THE TASK
To present the new collection of clothing and accessories for the Spring/Summer season to fashion media, bloggers, stylists and key opinion formers.

THE RESPONSE
WHPR implemented a full communications programme to support the launch of the Spring/Summer collection.

A catwalk show was hosted in the urban surrounds of City Hall for over 200 guests.
WHPR worked closely with a leading stylist to achieve the key seasonal trends including “Park Avenue”, “Miami Kitsch”, “Track Stars” and “Culture Clash” across womenswear and menswear.
One to one appointments were set up with fashion editors and a number of fashion bloggers to view the collection in advance of the official launch, a national photocall was hosted in City Hall and was attended by photographers representing leading national newspapers. WHPR set-up a number of press interviews and invited TV3’s Xposé to film the event.

The show was attended by over 200 fashion writers, stylists, bloggers, TV personalities and Irish celebrities as well as a number of fashion writers and bloggers from Northern Ireland. Significant tweeting took place on the night of the event with #ss12mands trending on the evening.
Delicious M&S canapés and cocktails were served to guests, who also got to enjoy the delicious M&S cheese tables after the show!
