Digital Marketing & Social Media

360 Digital Influence

As part of the Ogilvy network, WHPR has access to wealth of experience and knowledge in the all aspects of Digital. Ogilvy’s 360 Digital Influence Practice is led by Managing Director, John Bell, who is currently serving as President of the Word of Mouth Marketing Association (WOMMA). On the ground, WHPR has a team of 6 specialist Digital Influence practitioners who adapt the learnings and knowledge of the global team to the Irish market.

We have technology and methodology for identifying and engaging key influencers and activating networks of people to share and recommend products, services and issues. We create engaging experiences designed to promote awareness, brand loyalty, advocacy and conversion.

We drive a new form of “earned media” by using social media strategically and adding scale and volume through integrated marketing and communications programmes.

The emergence of blogs, wikis and RSS aggregators has put the spotlight on new patterns of influence, and search engines are transforming how we find information in the digital realm. These technologies are just a part of a larger transformation of how people get information, what they listen to and who ultimately influences them.

At WHPR, we map these patterns of influence to identify who is influencing who, how word-of-mouth influence builds momentum, and who emerges in specific fields of interest as digital influencers. Given this insight and intelligence, we guide our clients through the landscape of engaging in dialogues and participating to build word of mouth online and offline. “Conversation” has become the new ‘earned media.’ We use new digital technologies to activate discussion and amplify our advocates whether they are more traditional influencers or bloggers online. We measure performance of all our programs including as word-of-mouth measures in order to optimise programs underway and report progress.

WHPR won the inaugural year of new media category at the PRCA awards in 2008 and an APMC Star award for best use of social media.
